The Ministry of Infrastructure – MInfra promises investments of over R$130 billion, in contracts for the next year, with the transfer of more than 50 assets of these investments intended for privatizations.
According to MInfra Minister Tarcísio Gomes, on this Monday (14) during a presentation of the department’s balance and prospects for the next year, he assured that the transfer of investments in these assets intended for privatizations will generate more than 2 million jobs during the works.

“Even though 2020 was a challenging year due to the pandemic, we did not lose focus. We completed 86 priority works, 1,200 km of highways, and did not stop any activity,” said the head of the department.

In addition to BR-101 in Santa Catarina, the other assets referred to by the MInfra minister are port terminals located in Fortaleza/CE, Vila do Conde/PA, two in Santos, and four to be finalized on December 18: Aratu (2), Maceió, and Paranaguá/PR.

The minister also highlighted that several assets have already been released by the TCU, and will be auctioned in 2021. There are 8 projects under analysis at the TCU, with planned investments of over R$ 45 billion, including two in highways (BR-381/262/MG/ES and BR-116/101/SP/RJ); five in port leases and Ferrogrão.
“We took advantage of the pandemic to renovate the runway at Congonhas Airport, and we carried out public works, possible thanks to the intense dialogue with the federal and state delegations,” stated the minister.
