Learn How to Compete for Free Online Technical Course Spots at the Federal Institute
The free online technical courses are offered by IF Sudeste MG in the afternoon and evening shifts and in the online modality. From March 28 to May 7, candidates must register from a computer on the Federal Institute’s page.
The participating units of the selection also provide in-person assistance for registration, at times that can be checked in the notices. Access to the registration system will be done through the candidate’s Gov.br account. The registration is completely free for technical courses.
A novelty of this selection process is the application of the new Quotas Law, which states that candidates will compete for reserved spots only if they do not achieve the required grades for admission through general competition slots.
The reserved spots take into account whether the candidate studied or is studying in public network institutions and specific groups, aspects such as family income and self-declaration of ethnic-racial identity, and whether they have a disability. The formation of classes for the free courses will be determined by a lottery, which will be held in June.
