U.S. Workshop Builds Giant Trike with Tractor Wheel, Turbo Diesel Engine and Steering on All Three Wheels to Tackle Extreme Terrain.
A workshop in the U.S. state of Idaho has heavily invested in building its own monster trike. The group is constructing a giant and radical trike, with steering on all three wheels and a look reminiscent of zombie movies.
From Scratch, with Unusual Parts
Unlike other brands that adapt existing models, the Grind Hard workshop started from scratch.
The rear base came from an old trike, and the chosen engine is a four-cylinder turbo diesel TDI from Volkswagen.

Hyundai Staria Hybrid arrives as a “premium Kombi” hybrid with 7 or 9 seats, 1.6 turbo engine, 54 kW electric motor, spacious cabin, Relaxation seats, and a work van version with 3 or 6 seats in Europe.
The rear wheels were fitted with 46-inch tires, but the highlight is at the front: a 54-inch steel wheel, originally used in tractors.
This giant wheel houses the driver’s seat and all the controls. To fit everything, the builders needed to cut a lot of metal and adapt each component.
The structure is tubular, designed to reinforce the craft and aggressive style of the vehicle.
Steering That Defies Logic
The latest construction episode showed the installation of the steering.
The goal is bold: to allow all three wheels to turn, both in opposite directions and in the same direction.
This will enable tighter maneuvers, ideal for challenging terrains.
In addition, with this system, the driver can sit at either end of the trike and still operate the machine with full control.
The workshop is also working on the rear suspension system and the integration of the wheels with the front steering system. Watch the latest video with Portuguese dubbing done by AI.
No Deadline, But with Promise
There is still no date for the completion of the project. But according to Grind Hard Plumbing itself, the wait will be worth it. “The driving experience will be the most distant from the norm of everything we have ever built,” the team stated.
The giant trike promises not only to attract attention but also to break barriers of creativity in the off-road universe.
