Discover How Telo Trucks Is Redefining The Concept Of Solar Panel Electric Pickup, Combining Innovation, Sustainability, And Efficiency

A Telo Trucks is about to transform the automotive sector with its new electric pickup MT1, equipped with solar panels developed in partnership with Aptera, a company specialized in solar vehicles, according to the automotive news site.

This collaboration brings an innovative solution that allows charging on the move, increasing autonomy even in remote locations and off the grid.

Efficiency And Sustainability In A Compact Pickup

The Telo MT1 is designed to be the most efficient electric pickup in the world, thanks to the integration of solar panels on the roof and in the bed.

In ideal conditions, these panels can generate up to 200 watts of energy, providing approximately 10 additional kilometers of range per day.

Although complete charging from solar energy may be slow, this functionality is extremely practical for keeping accessories and devices operational during camping or off-grid adventures.

Powerful Performance And Compact Design

Despite its compact size of 3.86 meters long, the Telo MT1 does not compromise on performance. With a bed of 1.50 meters, the pickup can accommodate up to eight passengers depending on the configuration.

Equipped with two motors that generate 500 horsepower, the model accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just four seconds and reaches a top speed of 200 km/h.

The 106 kWh battery offers a range of 560 km, and the fast charging system allows for adding 336 km in just 20 minutes.

Availability And Market Potential

The starting price of the Telo MT1 is US$ 49,999, excluding the solar panels. Local sales are expected to begin in 2025, with reservations already open since 2023.

The CEO of Telo Trucks, Jason Marks, emphasized that the pickup was designed to offer a combination of sustainability and efficiency without sacrificing performance.

With its innovative design and solar charging capability, the Telo MT1 positions itself as an attractive alternative for consumers seeking advanced technology and sustainability in the automotive segment.

A Revolution In The Electric Pickup Market

The Telo MT1 has the potential to become a landmark in the electric vehicle market, especially for those seeking a solution that combines functionality, compactness, and sustainability.

The versatility of the model meets various needs, from urban transport to outdoor adventures and commercial use.

This electric pickup represents a significant step towards the future of sustainable vehicles, standing out as a viable option for conscious and innovative consumers.

É incrível realmente, deveria ser um carro comum do dia a dia, mesmo com uma capacidade menor! Para a grande maioria só 3 a 5 gerações para o futuro 😁
