With a Strong Presence in Brazil and Worldwide in the Oil and Gas Sector, Shell is Hiring a Reservoir Engineer for Rio de Janeiro

The year 2020 has been marked by hiring, especially in the oil and gas sector. This time, the giant Shell announced that it is recruiting a reservoir engineer for its office in Rio de Janeiro. Below are some characteristics of the position.

Reservoir Engineer

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with a minimum of 6 years of experience in reservoir engineering or a PhD will be considered as 3 years of experience; Demonstrable and verifiable ability to mentor or train;

Must have evident skills in advanced subsurface modeling, reservoir simulation, material balance, integrated production system modeling, pressure transient analysis, PVT, and general forecasting principles; In-depth knowledge of Field Development Planning, Integrated Reservoir Modeling, and Project Maturation is highly advantageous; Experience in Waterflood management is advantageous;

Knowledge in business planning activities and general reserves reporting processes; Familiarity with SMS aspects in large projects and deep-water environments; Strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work well in a diverse, multidisciplinary, and virtual team environment.
