A Perfume That Will Not Be Sprayed On The Body
The multinational made it clear that the gasoline-smelling product was not manufactured to be sprayed on the body. Ford’s idea is to make the transition easier for drivers when interacting with electric cars.
In a satisfaction survey conducted by the multinational with drivers of the electric Mustang Mach-E GT model, 70% of drivers reported missing the smell of gasoline. The survey also noted that the smell of gasoline is a more popular odor than cheese and wine.

Smell Beyond Gasoline
But beyond the smell of gasoline itself, the perfume also blends the aroma of rubber and even an “animal” scent, to make a reference to Ford’s sports cars. The perfume for electric car owners was created by the fragrance consultancy Olfiction. The signature comes from the perfumer of the British Society of Perfumery, Pia Long.
The entity examined the chemicals emitted inside vehicles and thus blended the found items with blue ginger, geranium, lavender, and sandalwood, which add rubbery, smoky, and metallic touches. According to Ford Europe’s product communications director, Jay Ward, the sensory appeal of combustion cars is still something that drivers resist.
The multinational’s fragrance is designed to give electric car drivers who still want to smell fuel an experience almost identical to that of fuel-powered cars.
Mustang Mach-E GT Has 487 HP Of Power
One of the biggest speed festivals in Europe is Goodwood, where the multinational Ford announced its new electric car, the Mustang Mach-E GT. In addition, the automaker also showcased a sample consisting solely of electric vehicles and announced the start of sales on the Old Continent of its new Mustang.
