Why Is Salesforce Offering So Many Job Openings?
The cloud software company, which targets sales representatives, marketing professionals, and customer service agents, is among many technology multinationals that expect to increase revenue with generative AI resources.
As such, Salesforce is adding a few thousand more salespeople to help sell these products, according to Benioff at a company event in San Francisco. He highlights that the company has already had 9 thousand applications for the 2 thousand openings in the selection process.
Additionally, in November 2024, Benioff stated to Bloomberg that he planned to hire 1,000 salespeople focusing on generative AI.
However, this week, the company stated that the second generation of its Agentforce technology, which creates and operates AI agents, will be available to customers in February 2025, meaning the company’s product can answer sophisticated questions on Salesforce’s Slack communication app, based on all available data.
