A New Barite Processing Plant Will Be Installed in Presidente Kennedy, in the South of Espírito Santo. New Jobs Will Be Generated
Yesterday (04/05), the mayor and the secretary of the environment of Presidente Kennedy, Espírito Santo, Dorlei Fontão da Cruz and Edson Vander, visited the area where the new IBC Brasil (International Barite Company) factory will be installed, with an expected investment of R$ 8 million just for construction. The expectation is that 300 new jobs will be generated.

New Factory and Jobs in Espírito Santo
The construction of the new IBC Brasil factory has already begun with the land grading, and the start of operations is scheduled for October of this year. The factory will be located near the highway that connects Santo Eduardo and Cacimbinha.
Regarding the jobs that will be generated on-site, the executives of International Barite Company Brasil assured that local labor from the municipality in Espírito Santo will be prioritized. The mayor of Presidente Kennedy (ES), Dorlei Fontão da Cruz, stated that IBC Brasil will directly and indirectly supply various drilled wells across the country with its products from the city in Espírito Santo. According to him, receiving such large investments in the municipality makes them believe they are on the path to development.

Products of the New Unit in Espírito Santo
IBC Brasil (International Barite Company) is a subsidiary of D Energy Brasil and will build a new factory in Presidente Kennedy, Espírito Santo, which will produce the processing of non-metallic minerals for industrial use.
Barite is derived from the industrial processing of barium sulfate. The expectation is that the new factory will have the capacity to process 70,000 tons of the input annually, serving various companies in the oil sector in the country, as well as having significant export potential to other countries.
Suzano Opens Its New Factory in ES and Announces More Investments in the State
Suzano inaugurated a new factory in March located in Cachoeiro do Itapemirim, Espírito Santo, announcing the expansion of the forest base and modernization of the industrial plant in Aracruz. In total, about R$ 782 million was invested across the state.
The investments were announced in December 2019 (R$ 993 million) and were expected to generate around 1,100 jobs. The tissue paper production factory in Cachoeiro do Itapemirim, inaugurated in March, received an investment of about R$ 130 million.
The new factory of Suzano, in Espírito Santo, began operations in February, with a monthly production capacity of about 500,000 paper packages.
