The Yamaha Jog 125 2024 was officially introduced by the company in the Japanese market. For this new season, the economical motorcycle remains with the same base, however, it has gained new color options. The new Yamaha motorcycle brings back the nostalgia of the famous name that once appeared in Brazil with the charming Jog 50 in past decades.
New Economical Yamaha Jog 125 Makes 51.9 Km/L
This is a 50cc two-stroke from the 90s. However, the current Yamaha 125 motorcycle shares only the name as a similarity, as the small economical motorcycle offers a more modern package. The
price of the Yamaha JOG 125 2024 is 264,000 yen, which is equivalent to about R$ 8.6 thousand in direct conversion. There are no expectations regarding the arrival of the new Yamaha motorcycle in Brazil. Currently, the brand offers an interesting line of scooters including the Neo 125, NMax, Fluo, and XMax.

The new economical Yamaha motorcycle features the same look seen last year in the Japanese market. The new color options for the Yamaha JOG 124 are light blue and red, in addition to maintaining the white and black options.
Marketed in Japan as a simple and affordable scooter that is easy to ride, the new Yamaha motorcycle is equipped with a 124 cc single-cylinder engine that delivers 8.3 horsepower and 1.00 kgfm of torque at 5,000 rpm. With a weight of just 95 kg and a seat height of 735 mm, the Yamaha JOG 125 attracts mainly due to the economy it offers with an average consumption of 51.9 km/l, according to WMTC index.
When Will The Economical Motorcycle Hit The Market?
At a constant speed of 60 km/h, the new Yamaha motorcycle can reach up to 57.7 km/l, according to data from the Japanese manufacturer.
With its 4-liter tank, the estimated range of the new Yamaha JOG 125 is over 200 km. Additionally, it features a storage compartment under the seat of 21.3 liters and the braking system is of the combined type (UBS). Produced by Yamaha in Taiwan, the scooter arrives in Japan on March 19.
In addition to the Yamaha JOG 125, the brand has been focusing its efforts on scooters with a more retro design. The evidence of this is the Yamaha Vino 2024, launched in February in Japan.
In Japan, the economical motorcycle is available for 214,500 yen, which corresponds to about R$ 7.2 thousand in direct conversion and without taxes. The 49cc engine produces 4.5 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and 0.42 kgfm of torque. The new Yamaha motorcycle has an average consumption of 58.4 km/l, which means about 60 km for just 1 liter of gasoline.
Yamaha Also Innovates In The Electric Bicycle Sector
In February, Yamaha partnered with the Swedish company Husqvarna to launch a new versatile electric bicycle capable of riding both in large cities and on rougher terrains. The model, named Grand Pather 2024, also features technology to allow the user to focus solely on pedaling.
The model was described as the most adaptable and innovative electric tourism bicycle, ideal for both commuting to work and tackling complex terrains. Yamaha’s new electric bicycle line includes three versions, namely GP6, GP5, and GP4, each with different low or high frames, cabling, and customizable adjustments.
