With a Motor of Up to 11,000 Watts, Award-Winning Design, and a Range of 129 km, the New Yadea Keeness Electric Motorcycle Arrives in Brazil in August for R$ 28,900 and Promises to Shake Up the Urban Market.

The electric motorcycle market in Brazil is still nascent, but some brands have already arrived with bold proposals — one of them is the Chinese giant Yadea, a global leader in electric motorcycle sales since 2017. The model that promises to attract attention in 2025 is the newly unveiled Yadea Keeness, which has just been confirmed with national production, an award-winning design, and a suggested price of R$ 28,900.

Presented at the Interlagos Motos Festival 2025, Yadea’s new electric motorcycle features a bold look, specifications aimed at a young audience, and performance comparable to a combustion-powered 125 cc motorcycle — all without using a drop of gasoline. Manufactured in Manaus (AM), the Keeness will start being sold in Brazil in August and promises to invigorate the segment.

Does it have what it takes to compete with popular 150cc and 160cc models? The technical specifications and proposal indicate that it does.

The New Electric Motorcycle Betting Big on Brazil

Keeping an eye on the segment’s expansion, Yadea sees Brazil as a key market in South America. With national production in partnership with Jabil Industrial, the brand aims to open 300 points of sale by 2027, showing that its arrival is not a one-off event but part of an aggressive growth strategy.

According to He Dongsheng, Yadea’s marketing director in South America, “choosing Brazil as the launch market for these models demonstrates our commitment to offering smarter, safer, and more sustainable mobility solutions in the country.”

And the Keeness is exactly that: an electric motorcycle with a futuristic touch, urban performance, and practically zero operating costs.

Award-Winning Design Inspired by Combat Airplanes

The look of the Yadea Keeness is one of the most striking points. With lines inspired by military jets, well-defined surfaces, and a robust profile, it completely departs from the stereotype of a simple electric motorcycle.

No wonder, the model was the winner of the Red Dot Design Award in 2023, one of the most prestigious awards in the world of industrial design. The result is an electric motorcycle that looks like a naked sportbike, capturing attention for both its style and its proposition.

Power of Up to 11,000 Watts and Performance Comparable to a Combustion Motorcycle

But the highlight of the new Yadea Keeness electric motorcycle is not just its visual appeal. Its central electric motor has a nominal power of 5,500 W and a peak of 11,000 W, equivalent to 14.9 hp — a number very close to 125 cc motorcycles like the Honda CG 160 and Yamaha Factor.

According to Yadea, the Keenness accelerates from 0 to 50 km/h in just 3 seconds and reaches a top speed of 100 km/h. The transmission is automatic, as in almost all electric motorcycles, and the final drive is by chain.

With this setup, the Keenness delivers exactly what urban riders want: agility in traffic, ease of handling, and extremely low operating costs.

Range of Up to 129 km with Removable Batteries

One of the most relevant points for those considering switching to an electric motorcycle is the range — and in this regard, the Keenness offers good numbers. Equipped with removable lithium-ion batteries, the model can carry two units and travel up to 129 kilometers on a full charge.

Furthermore, the batteries are 20% lighter than lead ones and feature energy regeneration via braking, increasing overall efficiency. This means that, depending on daily usage, the rider can go several days without needing to recharge.

The battery compartment also serves as a storage space, with a 16-liter useful capacity — a rare feature in motorcycles of this category.

Balanced Handling and Brakes with CBS

The ergonomics of the Yadea Keeness is reminiscent of a traditional naked bike. The model uses 17-inch wheels, tubeless tires, and disc brakes on both wheels with a combined braking system (CBS). Although it does not feature ABS, active safety is adequate for urban use.

The riding position is neutral and accessible, aimed at both beginners and those looking for an agile motorcycle for daily use.

Digital Dashboard, Full-LED, and Presence Key

Among the standard features, Yadea’s new electric motorcycle does not disappoint. It comes equipped with a complete digital dashboard, 100% LED lighting, and a presence key, offering a modern and connected experience.

Despite being priced slightly higher than traditional 150 cc motorcycles, the technological package and low operating costs position the Keenness as a highly attractive option for those seeking savings and style in urban use.

Available Colors and Launch in Brazil

The Yadea Keeness arrives in Brazil with three colors: white, black, and metallic copper. All versions share the same engine and chassis setup.

With a suggested price of R$ 28,900, the Keenness will be sold at Yadea’s official stores starting August 2025. Even though it costs more than 150 cc combustion motorcycles, the model offers savings in the medium and long term, especially for those who ride a lot daily.

Is It Worth Switching a Gasoline Motorcycle for an Electric One?

This is the question many motorcyclists ask themselves. With zero fuel consumption, minimal maintenance (no oil changes, clutch, or chain replacement), and simple recharging from regular outlets, the electric motorcycle can indeed represent real savings in daily use.

The Yadea Keenness, with performance similar to a 125 cc, meets urban needs with an added bonus: zero emissions.

Ultimately, the decision between a combustion motorcycle and an electric one depends on the rider’s profile. However, if you frequently ride in the city, seek a modern model, want real savings, and care about sustainability, the new Yadea Keenness could be the right choice.
