New My INSS System Allows Electronic Power of Attorney for Representatives to Access INSS Services Without Sharing Gov.br Account Password and With Quick Revocation by the User
The New My INSS System is now available on the app and website, allowing the insured to create an electronic power of attorney to authorize a representative to access digital INSS services without having to inform or write down the Gov.br account password or visit an agency. The authorization becomes entirely digital and controlled by the citizen themselves.
When registering the electronic power of attorney, the insured chooses which services the representative will be authorized to access and for how long this authorization will be valid. Everything is done online, focusing on security, practicality, and reducing unnecessary trips to the Social Security agencies.
How Electronic Power of Attorney Works in My INSS
In the New My INSS System, the electronic power of attorney is only valid within the My INSS platform itself. The insured defines, at the time of registration, which services the representative is authorized to access and also the duration of the digital document.

Public transportation in Brazil may face fare increases with the new 40-hour workweek, resulting in a billion-dollar impact on costs and growing pressure on companies and operations.
This power of attorney is not valid if printed or shared as a document outside the digital environment. The logic is that the entire authorization relationship is recorded and protected within the system, reducing the risk of misuse by third parties.
Another key point is the control by the insured themselves. The electronic power of attorney can be revoked at any time, as long as the holder accesses their Gov.br account with silver or gold level. This allows for quick correction of any authorization that no longer makes sense or that is no longer necessary.
Digital Security and Protection of Gov.br Account
According to the government, the password for the Gov.br account should be treated as an extremely sensitive piece of information, comparable to a bank password. The guidance is clear: the Gov.br account password is personal and non-transferable and should not be shared even with trusted individuals.
With the New My INSS System, the idea is to replace the habit of sharing passwords with a secure authorization model.
Instead of writing down their password on paper or passing the code to family members, the insured now has an official solution, allowing them to authorize another person to assist them in the digital environment without compromising their privacy and data security.
Which Services Can Be Accessed by the Representative
In this initial phase, the electronic power of attorney from the New My INSS System allows the representative to primarily access consultations within the platform. The available services include:
• Consultations of documents and online services linked to My INSS
• Consultations of requests and benefits, allowing for tracking the status of applications and benefits under review or already granted
By limiting the use of the electronic power of attorney to the My INSS platform, the system aims to ensure that the representative operates strictly within the parameters defined by the insured, without unrestricted access to other data or systems.
Who Can Use It and What Are the Levels of Gov.br Account
To use the electronic power of attorney linked to the New My INSS System, the insured needs to have a Gov.br account of silver or gold level.
These levels indicate a higher degree of security and identity verification, required for sensitive functionalities such as authorizations and revocations.
The silver level account can be obtained, for example, through facial recognition that compares the user’s photo with that of the National Driver’s License.
Another possibility is the validation of data with one of the accredited banks on the Gov.br platform.
On the other hand, the gold level account requires an additional security step. It can be achieved through facial recognition based on the data from the Electoral Justice, by scanning the QR Code of the National Identity Card, or by using a digital certificate compatible with the ICP-Brasil infrastructure.
Quick Revocation and Control in the Hands of the Insured
One of the differentiators of the New My INSS System is the quick revocation of the electronic power of attorney.
If the insured no longer wants the representative to have access to digital services, they can simply access their Gov.br account with silver or gold level and cancel the authorization, without needing to go to an agency or produce new documents.
In practice, the model combines convenience and security: the insured chooses who can access their digital services, defines the timeframe, monitors usage, and, if they change their mind, can cancel everything from their own cell phone or computer.
Do you think the electronic power of attorney from the New My INSS System makes it easier for those who need help using digital services, or do you still prefer to handle everything directly in your Gov.br account?
