The New Fluke 1770 Series Equipment Was Designed to Facilitate Troubleshooting, as Well as Provide More Accurate Power Quality Analysis
Fluke, one of the global leaders in test and measurement equipment, recently announced a new line of Fluke® 1770 Three-Phase Power Quality Analyzers to the national market. The technology was created to analyze energy data more easily and accurately identify problems. The new equipment features automatic measurement systems, a simpler panel, easier adjustments, easy configurations, a simplified reporting platform, as well as the best specifications in its class.
The three models in the line, Fluke 1773, 1775, and 1777, have two primary functionalities. The first includes troubleshooting from an overview of quality integrity, energy health, and measurement point. The second concerns advanced quality studies, where it is possible to record all energy parameters and compare them with parameters and events according to the main global standards.
More Productive Power Quality Analyses
Carlos Rubim, Fluke’s Product Manager, stated in a press release that the new Series 1770 equipment aims to facilitate the routine of professionals in the industrial sector.

While in the rest of the world building a hospital takes years from design to inauguration, China erected the Huoshenshan Hospital from scratch in just 10 days, with 1,000 beds, foundation, structure, electrical installations, plumbing, and oxygen system ready to receive patients, mobilizing 7,000 workers.

Without mortar, grout, or traditional construction: the ClickBrick system assembles brick facades with ceramic pieces held by metal clips, eliminating the need for glue, speeding up installation, and even allowing everything to be dismantled later without turning the construction into expensive permanent debris.

Switzerland took 17 years to tear through the Alps and build the world’s largest railway tunnel, a 57.1 km passage under 2,300 meters of rock, with 50 °C heat and 28.2 million tons excavated to connect the north to the south of Europe.

With 1,415 m², a frontal view of the sea, and surrounded by skyscrapers, the mansion worth R$ 140 million bought by Luciano Hang is the last standing residence on the waterfront of the ‘Brazilian Dubai’ in Balneário Camboriú.
“The entire interface of the equipment was designed to ease user access, as it features a high-resolution touchscreen. Additionally, it is robust enough to be an industrial tool that allows the professional to use measurement gloves, for example,” he states.
The power supply system is another standout feature. The new models draw power directly from the measurement circuit. This eliminates the need to find an electrical outlet or use an extension cord.
The storage capacity also represents an advantage of the new line. The internal memory of the equipment, at 8GB, is expandable up to 128GB, and one of the models already includes a card with 32GB. The data storage space is sufficient to run multiple power quality analyses without compromising data files, and the factory-installed program of the equipment can process large amounts of information much more quickly.
With the Series 1770, critical power quality events – such as fast transients of up to 8 kV, harmonics of up to 30 kHz, sags, and swells, as well as voltage, current, and power measurements, can be identified and recorded, optimizing production, productivity, and profits for companies and industries.
Measurements with Wi-Fi and 4G Connection
The new equipment includes GPS, ensuring accurate date and time measurements. Users of the equipment can also use a 4G adapter to connect the device to the internet and access data and analysis remotely.
Also regarding connectivity, the user does not need to connect a cable to extract data, as it is possible to connect remotely via VNC (Virtual Network Computing) from a mobile phone, tablet, or computer. This innovative feature will allow you to see the device’s screen and configure it, confirming operation so that physical presence at the analyzer is not necessary.
If the user chooses to download the analysis data measurements, it is best to do so via Wi-Fi connection, using the software Fluke Energy Analyze Plus, developed specifically for this purpose. Energy and power quality analyzers Fluke. The software connects via Wi-Fi and performs data extraction without the need for cables. Thus, the equipment can remain installed at a measurement point, allowing for data extraction at any time without halting the measurement or any physical contact with the analyzer.
Application in Various Industrial Modalities
According to Rubim, with energy efficiency increasingly in the spotlight, it is essential to use safe tools during work and ensure more accurate analyses. “With the water crisis and energy costs rising, we need to improve energy efficiency in industries. Fluke has been a great ally in the market, as our products help enhance efficiency and the quality of consumed energy, aiding in maintaining the operation of companies,” he explains.
Additionally, according to the engineer, the new equipment can be applied in various sectors of industry such as energy, mining, oil and gas, food and beverages, facilities, among others. “Through power quality analysis performed with cutting-edge equipment, energy, transmission, distribution, and generation companies can be positively impacted. The use of our new analyzers ensures measurement in a practical, precise, and, above all, safe manner,” he concludes.
