The positive variation was 1.51% even with the absence of sugarcane, as it was the main product in the formation of the indices. However, the Price Index Received by Paulista Agriculture accumulated an adjustment of approximately 6.63% in the year 2022.
During this period, the indicator varied positively in 8 of the 12 months analyzed, according to IEA (Institute of Agricultural Economics), which represents the Department of Agriculture and Supply of the State of São Paulo. Initially, regarding the indicator of plant-origin products, the increase for beans was more than 77.85%, potatoes more than 76.88%, rice more than 44.45%, and tomatoes 29.82%.
These products contributed to its increase of 7.53%. The indicator of animal origin last year was 4.06%, but it had a negative variation in beef prices of -10.67%. What stands out is the adjustment in egg prices of more than 29.52% and milk more than 23.41%, according to researchers from the Institute of Agricultural Economics.
In December 2022, the IqPR closed with a percentage of 0.73%, separated by product groups. The plant-origin product index reached an adjustment of 1.07% and the animal origin index ended the last month of the year with a decrease of -0.16%. It is worth remembering that with the absence of sugarcane as the main product in the formation of the indices, there was a positive variation of approximately 1.51%. Without sugarcane, smaller highs can be presented, respectively 0.13% and 0.39%.

However, it is important to remember that during the month of December, the main adjustments that stood out were beans with more than 16.59% and rice with more than 10.27%. According to the Institute of Agricultural Economics, the reduction of the area allocated to the product was replaced by corn and also by soybeans, but the climatic adversities reduce the supply of the product in December, with the value per 60 kg sack reaching almost R$400.00.
Rice had the lowest supply caused by the lack of rains and even a reduction in productivity in the Rio Grande do Sul, the state that produces the most grains. The product in December reached a margin of 10.27%, which was more expensive than in November, the Institute reported.
