“Ocyan and many other companies in the onshore and offshore oil and gas industry are undergoing transitions during this pandemic period. Along with this, we need to renew our workforce. It was with this thought that we decided to open these first 100 job opportunities in the regions of Macaé, Rio and Santos already in February. In the inclusion project, where Ocyan opens exclusive positions for black and brown people, this number may reach 700 job openings in the previously mentioned regions,” says Ocyan’s Director of People & Management, Nir Lander.
Diversity Program
The Ocyan Diversity and Inclusion Program was launched in 2019. Since then, the focus has been on mobilizing and raising awareness among company members. Now, the challenge is to sustain the messages and consolidate the project through practical actions.
“We have reached a new moment in the program, and the launch of the race group reinforces that we are on the right path to deepen our diversity actions within the company. In 2020, more than ever, the topic of racial issues prevailed worldwide, and this encourages us to advance further with it within the company as well. Companies are part of society, and social discussions need to resonate effectively in some way within them,” highlights Nir Lander, Director of People and Management at Ocyan.
