How the MEC Selection Will Work
The selection process will have three stages:
- Assessment of the Research Project’s Adequacy – the candidate must submit a project of up to 15 pages, articulating their background with the research proposal.
- Oral Exam – in-person interview, recorded in audio, evaluating the consistency of the proposal and its relation to teaching practice.
- National Review of the Projects – an examining board will assign grades based on criteria of relevance, coherence, and potential for application.
The final score will be the weighted average between the oral exam and project assessment. In case of a tie, preference will be given to the one with the higher score in the oral exam, and if the tie persists, the older candidate will be preferred.
