Rio de Janeiro, July 8, 2022 – Origem Energia, an energy integration company controlled by Prisma Capital, launches the campaign “Be Blue, Be Origem” to celebrate the first anniversary of its brand. The initiative, which refers to the color of the company’s visual identity, includes a series of actions, from internal events and the release of institutional videos to advertising inserts, conveying messages about valuing teams and energy integration.
“Origem emerged with a different vision from the rest of the industry. We don’t see ourselves as an oil company, but as an energy integration company with safety, innovation, and efficiency. We were born with the concept of being, through our assets, a facilitator of competitive energy in Brazil,” says Luiz Felipe Coutinho, CEO and one of the co-founders of Origem Energia.
Luna Viana, Chief Operating Officer (COO) and co-founder of Origem Energia, says that the name and brand change occurred at a moment of expansion and growth for the company. “When we created the company, we saw value to be unlocked, especially in the infrastructure associated with the divestment assets of Petrobras, and we have had success, with results above expectations,” says the operations director.

Nathan Biddle, Chief Technical Officer (CTO) and one of the co-founders of Origem Energia, reminds that the transition to a renewable energy matrix includes natural gas. “The company aims to participate in the expansion and transformation of the Brazilian energy matrix towards a low-carbon economy,” says the technical director of the energy company.
Company Tripled Production
The milestone of Origem Energia comes with the company’s forecast to earn over R$ 1 billion in 2022, a result driven by the growth of gas production in the Alagoas Polo, acquired from Petrobras in July 2021. Since taking over the operation of the Polo on February 5, 2022, the company has tripled its natural gas production, which reached the mark of 1 million cubic meters per day (m³/day).
