Dynamic scene of a renewable energy summit with solar panels, wind turbines and green hydrogen tanks
Here is the image related to the topic of energy transition and renewable energy. The scene shows a dynamic renewable energy event highlighting solar panels, wind turbines and hydrogen storage tanks. The image captures the essence of a summit aimed at discussing the energy future and the transition from traditional sources of oil and gas to renewable sources.

The Brazilian Northeast is preparing to host the 1st edition of the Oil & Gas Summit: Equatorial Margin and Energy Transition, highlighting the region as a strategic hub in the diversification of the energy matrix with a focus on solar energy, wind energy, Green Hydrogen (H2V), oil and gas, and other renewable sources.

The energy transition is gaining momentum in the Brazilian Northeast, with a significant focus on solar energy, wind energy, Green Hydrogen (H2V), Oil and Gas, and other renewable energy sources. The 1st edition of the Oil & Gas Summit: Equatorial Margin and Energy Transition will be held from March 19 to 21, 2025 at the Ceará Events Center, in Fortaleza-CE, highlighting the importance of the region in the national energy scenario.

The event, which will bring together the main players in the market, expects to attract more than 50 thousand visitors over the three days of the fair. Among the main topics of discussion will be the potential of the North and Northeast to become important industrial development hubs, boosting the generation of jobs and income and diversifying the energy matrix with a focus on solar energy and wind energy, beyond Green Hydrogen (H2V).

“The potential of Green Hydrogen in generating jobs and income in the Northeast is immense. By discussing this energy source at the Oil & Gas Summit, we are opening doors to the future. It is crucial for the region to take advantage of these natural resources and local expertise to boost an emerging industry like this”, explains Carlos Logulo, organizer of the Summit.

In Brazil, several regions show interest in the H2V industry, with emphasis on the Northeast due to its high installed capacity and potential. States such as Ceará, Bahia, Pernambuco, Piauí and Rio Grande do Norte already have projects announced in the area. The Equatorial Margin, covering territories in Piauí, Potiguares and Ceará, generates expectations of new employment and income opportunities through sustainable exploration that combines oil, gas and renewable energy.

“The discussion on Green Hydrogen at the Summit will stimulate sustainable development in the Northeast, with suggestions in the areas of infrastructure, logistics and the sector's legal framework”, concludes Carlos Logulo.

Furthermore, Petrobras plays a crucial role in this scenario, being one of the largest energy companies in the world, focused on the exploration, production and refinement of oil and gas. With the change in command of the state-owned company, the new presidency promises to intensify efforts in the energy transition and the development of renewable energy sources. This alignment with global trends reinforces the importance of events such as the Oil & Gas Summit, which promote the debate and implementation of innovative solutions for the energy future of Brazil and, especially, the Northeast.
