The state company estimates that the exploratory campaign for the discoveries of Cumbe, Farfan, and Barra, all in Sergipe-Alagoas, will be completed in December of this year.
The Brazilian state oil company made major oil and natural gas discoveries offshore Sergipe, with great gas production potential.
In the past six years, Petrobras’s projects have been delayed, and currently, the company’s schedule is to install two FPSOs starting from 2020.
The state is seeking a new partner for the project, which is partially for sale. Only one of the discoveries, Poço Verde, has 11.9 billion (P50) m³ of gas in place (VGIP).
The gas volumes are estimated for one of the reservoirs explored during the discovery evaluation plan (PAD) of well 1-BRSA-1022-SES, initiated in 2013 and completed last year.
The PAD encompasses areas of contracts BM-SEAL-4A (where ONGC is a partner with 25%) and BM-SEAL-11 (100% Petrobras).
