Petrobras, steadfast in its divestment plan, announced on the morning of this Friday (13) another batch of refineries to be privatized, which are REGAP, RAMAN, LUBNOR, and SIX.  The first batch, which includes RLAM, REVAP, REPAL, and Rnest, already has over 20 interested parties (see here).

Next, See the Information and Characteristics of Each Refinery

  • REGAP (Gabriel Passos Refinery) – located in the city of Betim, in the state of Minas Gerais, it can process about 166,000 barrels daily, and among its assets, it holds oil pipelines stretching over 720 kilometers.
  • REMAN (Isaac Sabbá Refinery or Manaus Refinery) – located in the city of Manaus, in the state of Amazonas, it can process 46,000 barrels of oil daily and also has attached storage facilities.
  • LUBNOR (Northeast Lubricants and Oil Derivatives) – located in the city of Mucuripe, in the state of Ceará, it processes 8,000 barrels per day and is the only one in Brazilian territory capable of producing naphthenic lubricants.
  • SIX (Shale Industrialization Unit) – located in the municipality of São Mateus do Sul, in the state of Paraná, it can process 8,000 barrels per day and its main products are asphalt and lubricants.

While Petrobras Exits, Foreign Companies Enter

In the last oil auctions promoted by ANP on September 10, 45 exploratory blocks were sold, mainly in the northeast.

Petrobras obtained ANP approval to finally sell the fields of Carapeba, Pargo, and Vermelho in the Campos Basin to Perenco on the last day 12.

ExxonMobil will commence drilling activities as early as 2020 in the Sergipe Basin. There will be economic movement in the region that will generate billions in business and jobs.
