Petrobras and Liquigás Will Donate Ten Thousand 13 Kg Cooking Gas Cylinders Across Brazil to Communities Affected by the Coronavirus Pandemic.

Ten thousand loads of 13kg LPG (cooking gas) cylinders will be donated across Brazil by Petrobras in partnership with its subsidiary Liquigás. The donation will assist vulnerable communities that have been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. “We have been committed, since the beginning of the pandemic, to collaborating in every possible way with society so that we can together overcome this moment. We understand that this LPG donation will assist families who are facing difficulties beyond those imposed by the virus,” says Petrobras’ Institutional Relationship Director, Roberto Ardenghy.

Social Initiatives Practiced by Petrobras

This initiative is part of a series of contributions from Petrobras to help the country combat the coronavirus. The company has already allocated over R$30 million in donations to collaborate with society in fighting the pandemic.

“In total, 3 million liters of fuel will be donated to supply ambulances, vehicles for transporting doctors, and generators for public and philanthropic hospitals that serve patients with Covid-19“, said Petrobras in its community on this date (07/16).

“Among the actions already taken is the donation of 600,000 tests for Covid-19 diagnosis in all states of Brazil, through the Unified Health System”, concludes Petrobras.
