Ten thousand loads of 13kg LPG (cooking gas) cylinders will be donated across Brazil by Petrobras in partnership with its subsidiary Liquigás. The donation will assist vulnerable communities that have been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Petrobras will be responsible for donating the LPG, while the distribution logistics will be handled by Liquigás, in partnership with its network of resellers. “We are coordinating the deliveries with resellers and will have the support of community leaders. This will ensure that donations reach those who need it most in an organized manner,” explains Geraldo Magela de Abreu, Director of Packaged LPG at Liquigás.
Social Initiatives Practiced by Petrobras
This initiative is part of a series of contributions from Petrobras to help the country combat the coronavirus. The company has already allocated over R$30 million in donations to collaborate with society in fighting the pandemic.
“In total, 3 million liters of fuel will be donated to supply ambulances, vehicles for transporting doctors, and generators for public and philanthropic hospitals that serve patients with Covid-19“, said Petrobras in its community on this date (07/16).
“Among the actions already taken is the donation of 600,000 tests for Covid-19 diagnosis in all states of Brazil, through the Unified Health System”, concludes Petrobras.
