Rio de Janeiro, July 19 – The FPSO Almirante Barroso MV32 began its journey to Brazil last Sunday (17). Once in Brazil, the unit will enter the final commissioning phase in Angra dos Reis (RJ).
The activities carried out at the local shipyard will include the commissioning of topside systems, regulatory inspections, and final preparations before the unit sails to the Búzios field in the pre-salt Santos Basin. The beginning of the vessel’s operations is expected in 2023.
Contracted by Petrobras, the FPSO Almirante Barroso MV32 will have the capacity to produce up to 150 thousand barrels of oil and process 6 million cubic meters of gas daily. The unit can store up to 1.4 million barrels of oil.
