The air conditioner that consumes little is the LG Dual Inverter, model Q09AA31F, measured by Inmetro at about 25.93 kWh per month, around R$ 21 in Curitiba. On Shopee, it was priced at R$ 1,534 with a coupon. However, the cost changes depending on the city, and installation is charged separately.

At the end of every month, the scene repeats in many homes: the electricity bill arrives and the air conditioner takes the blame. It was with this drama in mind that an LG model became a topic of discussion, an air conditioner that consumes little and, according to official measurements, costs about R$ 21 per month. The device appeared on sale on Shopee and attracted attention precisely for its efficiency.

Canaltech found the offer on Thursday, June 11, 2026, with the LG Dual Inverter Voice of 9,000 BTUs priced at R$ 1,534 by activating the coupon and paying via Pix. The impressive number comes from Inmetro, a consumption of 311.2 kWh per year, something around 25.93 kWh per month. This cost, of course, changes according to the tariff of each city and the time the device is on. It is not a fixed number.

How much it really weighs on the electricity bill

The air conditioner that consumes little, the LG Dual Inverter, costs about R$ 21 per month according to Inmetro and is on sale on Shopee; see the impact on the electricity bill.
The appeal of the model is its efficiency, and it has official numbers to back it up.

According to Inmetro tests, the device consumes 311.2 kWh per year, equivalent to about 25.93 kWh per month.

With moderate use, of approximately 6 hours a day, this turns into something around R$ 21 on the bill. Little, for a device with a reputation as a villain of the electricity bill.

This value, however, is not the same across the entire country.

As the tariff changes from state to state, the same air conditioner that consumes little costs slightly different depending on where you live.

In Curitiba, it is around R$ 21.93 per month. In São Paulo, it rises to about R$ 24.64, and in Fortaleza, it reaches around R$ 25.09. In other words, the R$ 21 is an average, which can increase depending on the region.

Why this low-consumption air conditioner spends less

The secret lies in the type of compressor.

While old models turn the motor on and off all the time, generating energy peaks, the Dual Inverter line adjusts the speed continuously.

According to the manufacturer, this ensures up to 70% energy savings and up to 40% faster cooling, making the room cold in less time.

Another point is the refrigerant gas.

The device uses R32, the most modern standard on the market, which improves heat exchange and allows for a more compact external unit, with less copper.

In case of leakage, it tends to be less harmful to the environment than the old R410, still common in cheap models. Just don’t confuse less harmful with harmless.

The detail that grabs attention

Here is the part that most arouses curiosity, the embedded artificial intelligence.

According to the brand’s announcement, the device learns your temperature preferences and starts adjusting its operation on its own, without you having to fiddle with the control all the time.

It’s a common promise in recent releases, and each person experiences it differently in practice.

The model also bets on durability.

For those living near the sea, LG has included a copper coil and the Gold Fin layer, described by the brand as anti-corrosion protection against sea air and humidity.

The compressor, the most expensive part of an air conditioner, comes with a 10-year factory warranty.

What to look at before rushing to the promotion

Before finalizing the purchase of this low-consumption air conditioner, it’s worth reading the fine print.

The first is the installation, which, being a premium split model, needs to be done by accredited technicians, under the risk of losing the 10-year warranty.

This cost is separate from the price and is not always low. It’s worth adding everything up.

The second is the size of the environment.

With 9,000 BTUs, the device handles small rooms and living rooms, from 12 to 15 square meters, and may be at its limit in larger rooms or those that get a lot of afternoon sun, when the 12,000 BTU version makes more sense.

Finally, remember that coupons and stocks on Shopee last only a few hours, so today’s price may not be valid tomorrow.

In the end, this low-consumption air conditioner presents itself as an interesting option for those who want to avoid the squeeze at the end of the month.

The numbers from Inmetro show a low consumption, the inverter technology helps in energy saving, and the long compressor warranty is a plus.

On the other hand, it’s necessary to add the installation, check the size of the room and remember that the promotional price is volatile.

And in your home, does the electricity bill skyrocket when the air conditioner kicks in? Have you already replaced an old device with an inverter model and noticed a difference in the bill?
