With The Public Consultation For The Future Leasing Auctions In The Solid Cargo Handling Areas At The Port Of Paranaguá, Portos Do Paraná Aims To Increment The Process With Public Contribution And Clarify Existing Questions
The Portos do Paraná company opened a public consultation last Wednesday, (05/25), for the bidding of new solid cargo handling areas that will undergo future leasing auctions at the Port of Paranaguá, located in the state of Paraná. Thus, the port authority aims to bring more transparency to the area concession process to the private sector and receive public collaboration in these bids.
Two New Areas At The Port Of Paranaguá Will Undergo Leasing Auctions And Portos Do Paraná Opened A Public Consultation For Contribution In The Process
Located east of the Port of Paranaguá, the PAR14 and PAR15 areas are intended for the handling and storage of solid bulk vegetable products and are essential for export and import operations in the complex. Now, Portos do Paraná is beginning the processes for the future leasing of these areas, focusing on conducting auctions still during the year 2022, and continues its efforts to accelerate the entire process.
In this way, the company opened a public consultation for the bids involving the leasing auctions of the solid cargo handling areas at the Port of Paranaguá. The opening took place last Wednesday and the official notices will be available for consultation until July 8.

As a result, the new calls for PAR14 and PAR15 have already been published in the official gazettes of the State and the Union and on the Portos do Paraná website, and you can check them at any time until the consultation ends.
The 45 days that are being made available for the public consultation of the bids aim primarily to promote transparency within this private sector concession process. In addition, they will also be essential for anyone interested in contributing in any way to the bidding of future leasing auctions for the areas at the Port of Paranaguá. Thus, the CEO of Portos do Paraná, Luiz Fernando Garcia, commented that “This period precedes the public hearings that are also already set for dates in the first week of July, on the 5th and 6th. Our expectation is to auction these three areas still this year.”
Leasing Auctions Of The PAR14 And PAR15 Areas Are Not The First Planned For 2022 In The Port Complex And Portos Do Paraná Is Investing In The Processes
The concession of operational areas to the private sector is increasingly being sought by Brazilian ports, and it would be no different at the Port of Paranaguá. This is because the bids for the leasing auctions of the solid cargo areas PAR14 and PAR15 are, respectively, the second and third public hearings of areas to be held this year.
Even before the start of the processes for these areas, Portos do Paraná began the public hearing for the PAR09 area, covering 24,000 square meters, also aimed at handling solid bulk vegetable products.
Further regarding the public contribution process for the future leasing auctions of the areas, Portos do Paraná emphasizes that only contributions, subsidies, and suggestions sent by 11:59 PM on July 8 will be considered by the Port Area Bidding Commission (Clap). Moreover, these must be made solely through the forms provided on the consultation public website.
And, with the opening of the public consultation by Portos do Paraná, the company continues to seek new paths for port growth for the Port of Paranaguá over the coming years, focusing on the expansion of cargo handling operations.
