Applications Open for Internships at the Federal Highway Police with Opportunities in Multiple Areas and Regions of the Country

The Federal Highway Police (PRF) started, on the last Wednesday, May 22, 2025, the selection process for interns. The positions cover different areas of operation and include opportunities in Maranhão, as well as other Brazilian states. The process, organized by the Euvaldo Lodi Institute (IEL), will be entirely online, facilitating participation from students in various regions. The selection extends until June 3, 2025, as announced by the PRF in an official notice.

Areas Covered by the PRF Internship Program

High school, technical, and higher education students can participate. The involved areas are varied, which broadens access and inclusion of candidates with different backgrounds. Among the accepted courses, noteworthy ones include administration, architecture and urban planning, law, civil engineering, computer science, journalism, advertising, and marketing. In addition to these, other areas are also eligible to participate, as long as they align with PRF’s needs in each state. The criteria are detailed in the IEL’s notice, which is responsible for conducting the selection.

Selection Process and Important Deadlines for Candidates

The selection process will be divided into two stages: curriculum analysis and interview. The first phase, which occurs right after the end of applications, prioritizes academic performance and the compatibility of the course with the PRF’s demands. The organizers will call selected candidates for virtual interviews. Candidates must attach all necessary documents at the time of application. The final deadline for submitting applications is June 3, 2025. Therefore, it is crucial for candidates to pay attention to all requirements and not wait until the last minute to apply.

Benefits and Work Hours Offered to PRF Interns

Hired interns will receive a scholarship according to their level of education. For high school students, the monthly amount is R$ 486.05. For higher education, the amount is R$ 787.98. Additionally, all approved candidates will be entitled to a transportation allowance of R$ 10.00 per day effectively interned. The workload varies between 20 and 30 hours per week, depending on the needs of the PRF unit and the intern’s availability. This flexibility, therefore, allows students to balance their internship with academic activities.

Requirements to Participate in the PRF Internship

To participate, students must be regularly enrolled and attending classes. The candidate needs to be at least 16 years old by the start of activities. For higher education internships, the student must have completed at least 50% of the total course load. The PRF also emphasizes the importance of thoroughly reading the notice before applying. The organization stresses transparency in the process and adherence to rules to ensure equal opportunities for all participants.
