Petrobras FPSO Production August 2018

Petrobras reported that total oil and gas production, including natural gas liquids (NGL), in August 2018 was 2,47 million barrels of oil equivalent per day (boed), down from July.

A Petrobras informed that, of the 2,47 million boed produced in August, 2,35 million boed were produced in Brazil and 116 thousand boed were produced abroad. Production in August is down from July 2018, when the company produced 2,60 million boed. The total production made by the company (participation of Petrobras and partners) was 3,15 million boed, with 2,99 million boed in Brazil.

The company added that the reduced production was mainly due to scheduled maintenance stoppages at FPSO Cidade de Angra dos Reis and FPSO Cidade de Maricá, both located in the Lula field, in the Santos Basin pre-salt.

Production was also influenced by maintenance stoppages on platforms P-25 and P-31, located in the Albacora field, in the post-salt Campos Basin, and by the continuity of the stoppage at the Mexilhão platform.

Petrobras stated that it maintained its commitment to the production target disclosed in the 2018-2022 Business and Management Plan, considering the ramp-up production of platforms that have already started operating this year, such as P-74 in the Búzios field, and FPSO Cidade de Campos, in the Tartaruga Verde and Mestiça fields, as well as the start of production of new systems planned for the fourth quarter of 2018.
