The Dynamic Panel of Oil and Natural Gas Production presents consolidated monthly and annual data, allowing for the visualization of the historical evolution of production in the country and also filtering it by field, basin, installation, well, state, time period, operator, among others. It is also possible to observe the main parameters of gas movement, such as burning and injection. This information is sourced from the Monthly Production Bulletin, a document that provides declaratory data from operators, submitted by the 15th day of the following month.
What Is the Onerous Assignment
The Onerous Assignment is a direct contracting regime for specific oil areas of the Union for Petrobras. Law No. 12,276/2010 granted Petrobras the right to extract up to five billion barrels from non-conceded areas located in the Pre-salt, as detailed in the Onerous Assignment Contract, signed between the Union and Petrobras.
Considering the existence of total recoverable oil volumes exceeding this figure in four oil fields contracted under this contract (Búzios, Atapu, Itapu, and Sépia), the National Energy Policy Council (CNPE) authorized ANP to auction the excess volumes.
The First Round of Auctions for the Excess Volumes of the Onerous Assignment took place in 2019, when the rights to explore and produce from the excess oil volumes of the four areas were offered, with Búzios and Itapu being awarded.
The Second Round, where rights for Sépia and Atapu will be offered, will take place today (12/17). Petrobras expressed interest in exercising its right of preference in both areas, with a share of 30% in each.
