3R Petroleum, a Latin American company operating in the oil and natural gas sector, announced the opening of its Young Apprentice Program in 2023.
The Young Apprentice Program is open to candidates between the ages of 18 and 22 who are attending elementary or high school and aims to offer them the opportunity to acquire knowledge and practical experience through the guidance of renowned professionals from the national oil and gas industry.
Rio de Janeiro is the area destined for the internship, and applications will be accepted until April 28th.

Prerequisites of the Young Apprentice Program
In order to apply for a position within the Young Apprentice Program, you must meet certain requirements, such as:
- Be Brazilian or naturalized;
- Be aged between 18 and 22 at the time of recruitment;
- Education: Attending primary or secondary education or complete secondary education in a public school;
- Agree to work 30 hours a week, 6 hours a day, divided into theoretical activities (in entities qualified for technical professional training) and practical activities (at 3R Petroleum);
- Availability to work in Rio de Janeiro (RJ).

Young Apprentice Program: how does it work?
With the aim of developing professional skills, young apprentices work in private or public companies to acquire entrepreneurial experience and improve their knowledge of the labor market. Generally speaking, kindergarten teachers are over the age of eighteen, while kindergarten teachers are between fourteen and eighteen.
The apprenticeship of minors and young people is regulated by the Apprentice Law (Law 10.097/2000), which provides for the hiring of young people between 14 and 24 years of age as apprentices in medium and large companies. Young apprentices' contracts last an average of 2 years and are registered in the Professional Work Card (CTPS) and discussed in the CLT decision. However, the duration of each vacancy may depend on certain circumstances, such as the age of the young apprentice.
In addition, young apprentices' contracts are not renewed or extended and therefore expire after the period established when young apprentices start work. At the end of the contract, the young apprentice will be entitled to the balance of wages, apportionment and 13th salary.
