After Years of Dispute, Gugu Liberato’s Billionaire Inheritance Was Finally Divided Among His Children and Five Nephews
The long judicial battle involving the inheritance of presenter Gugu Liberato, who passed away in 2019, has come to an end. The dispute, which involved billionaire amounts, was recently concluded following a family agreement.
Rose Miriam, the mother of Gugu’s three children, withdrew last August from the lawsuit seeking recognition of a stable union with the presenter. With the withdrawal, the original will was maintained, ending the legal dispute.
Division of Assets
Gugu’s will allocates 75% of the inheritance to his children João Augusto and twins Sofia and Marina. The remaining 25% was reserved for the five nephews of the presenter.

The total inheritance amounts to R$ 1.4 billion. Thus, each nephew received a share of R$ 70 million, totaling R$ 350 million allocated to them.
The Children of Amandio Liberato
Three of the nephews are children of Amandio Liberato, Gugu’s older brother. Alexandre Liberato, 38, lives in Piracicaba and runs, alongside his wife Raquel, a beauty institute franchise. He keeps open social media accounts, where he shares moments from his family life.
André Liberato, 35, also the son of Amandio, worked closely with his uncle, handling the commercial area of Gugu’s shows. He is considered the presenter’s closest nephew.
Amanda, 34, is a chef. She has worked in a restaurant in São Paulo and managed Confeitaria Afetiva, which operates with online orders.
The Children of Aparecida Liberato
The other two nephews are children of Aparecida Liberato, Gugu’s sister and curator of the estate. Rodrigo Caetano, 37, and Alice Caetano, 35, are more discreet. Their social media profiles are private, and they rarely appear publicly. Alice has previously worked in marketing and managed a fashion and travel website.

In May 2023, Alice got married. The cousins attended the ceremony. Alexandre captured the event on his social media, leaving a congratulatory message to the couple and expressing pride in being part of the special moment.

Gugu Liberato was one of the most popular presenters on Brazilian television. He began his career in the 1980s and achieved enormous success with shows such as “Viva a Noite,” “Domingo Legal,” and “Programa do Gugu.”
With his charismatic style and high-audience segments, he became a reference in national entertainment.
In addition to television, he worked as a businessman and accumulated a billionaire fortune over the years. His death in 2019 left a legion of fans and marked the end of an era in Brazilian TV.
