An initiative of the Social Service for Industry (SESI) is mobilizing thousands of people in Salvador and other regions of Bahia with a jaw-dropping new development.

What is the SESI EJA Professionalizing program?

SESI Bahia opened more than 10 thousand free places for Professional Youth and Adult Education (EJA) courses, offering an innovative way of combining studies and preparation for the job market.

Young people and adults who have not yet completed high school can apply to learn a profession while completing their education.

According to SESI, registrations are open until all vacancies are filled, and classes will take place in Salvador and eight other cities in Bahia.

The initiative is a way to promote inclusion and professional development in different regions of the state.

What courses are available?

Building installation electrician: Training in electrical installations, ideal for those seeking a technical profession in high demand;

Production assistant: Skills to support the production process in various industries and companies;

Agricultural machinery mechanic: Training for maintenance of equipment used in agribusiness, one of the strongest sectors of the economy;

Multipurpose footwear operator: Training in the footwear industry, focusing on manufacturing and finishing processes;

These courses allow participants to acquire skills valued by the market, increasing their chances of employability while completing high school.

Furthermore, the courses were structured to meet the specific demands of each region of Bahia, ensuring greater alignment with local needs.

Where do the courses take place?

The opportunities are spread across several regions of Bahia. The participating cities are:

Salvador: The capital of Bahia, with a broad educational structure and several vacancies available;

Camacari: One of the largest industrial hubs in the state, ideal for those looking to enter the industrial sector;

Feira de Santana: Recognized for its economic and commercial strength, offering good opportunities for insertion in the job market;

Juazeiro: Strategic city in the Sรฃo Francisco Valley, with a focus on agricultural and commercial areas;

Luรญs Eduardo Magalhรฃes: Important in agribusiness, with courses aimed at technical and industrial sectors;

Victory of the Conquest: Central point in the southwest of Bahia, with a strong presence of educational and commercial sectors;

Jequie: Growing city, with opportunities in production and services areas;

Ilheus: Tourist region with a focus on hotels and gastronomy, as well as technical areas;

Teixeira de freitas: Expanding city in the far south, with diverse demands in the job market.

According to SESI, the courses are taught in its own units, ensuring a quality structure for student learning.

This scope reinforces the institution's commitment to serving different communities and offering accessible opportunities throughout the state.

Additional benefits for students

Besides free courses, the program offers a aid-transportation of R$ 150 for students from Salvador, Camaรงari, Ilhรฉus and Luรญs Eduardo Magalhรฃes.

As announced, this financial aid aims to ensure that students can attend classes regularly, reducing barriers to participation.
