Who Can Register and How It Works
The IFMS highlighted that anyone with completed elementary education (5th grade) can participate in the free language courses.
Available spots are allocated among students and staff of the institution, as well as for the external public, without any affiliation with the institute.
Classes are scheduled to start on March 10, 2025, and the selection process consists of simple and well-organized stages.
It is worth noting that both the registrations and the course offerings are completely free.
List of Available Courses
The Initial and Continued Education (FIC), promoted by the Languages Center (Cenid) of IFMS, will offer the following courses:
Languages Offered:
- Spanish (basic and intermediate levels);
- English (basic and intermediate levels);
- Libras (basic and intermediate levels).
The courses are divided into two stages, each lasting three semesters, and participants receive official certification at the end of each cycle.
Locations and Distribution of Spots
Classes will be held at various campuses of the IFMS, covering the cities of:
- Campo Grande;
- Coxim;
- Naviraí;
- Ponta Porã;
- Três Lagoas.
Each campus will have spots available for both institution students and the external public.
How the Selection Process Works
The selection process includes some important stages. For those looking to enter at the basic level, just register on the Candidate Page, available on the official IFMS website.
Those interested in intermediate courses, or who wish to advance in ongoing classes, will need to take a placement test. This exam will be conducted online, scheduled for January 17, 2025.
Candidates who achieve the minimum required score will also participate in an electronic draw on February 7, which will determine the available spots for each stage and campus.

- Final Classification and Call: February 14;
- Start of Classes: March 10.
