The Federal Institute of Mato Grosso do Sul (IFMS) is offering 450 vacancies for free language courses

Opportunities include Spanish, English and Libras, at basic and intermediate levels. Applications are open until January 15, 2025. See how to participate and check out all the detailed information about the process!

With vacancies for students, employees and also the general public, the courses are an excellent opportunity to learn or improve a new language, with the right to a certificate of national validity.

Who can apply and how it works

O IFMS highlighted that anyone with completed elementary education (5th grade) can participate in the free language courses

The vacancies are distributed among students and employees of the institution, as well as for the external public, without any connection to the institute.

Classes are scheduled to start on March 10, 2025, and the selection process has simple and well-organized stages.

It is worth remembering that both registrations regarding the offer of courses are completely free.

List of available courses

Initial and Continuing Education (FIC), promoted by the Language Center (Cenid) of IFMS, will offer the following courses:

Languages ​​offered:

  • Spanish (basic and intermediate levels);
  • English (basic and intermediate levels);
  • Libras (basic and intermediate levels).

The courses are divided into two stages, each lasting three semesters, and participants receive official certification at the end of each cycle.

Locations and distribution of vacancies

Classes will be held on several campuses IFMS, covering the cities of:

  • Large field;
  • Cushion;
  • Navirai;
  • Pora Point;
  • Three Lagoons.

Each campus will have vacancies for both students from the institution and the external public.

How the selection process works

The selection process includes some important steps. For those who want to enter at the basic level, simply register at Candidate Page, available on the official IFMS website.

Those interested in intermediate courses, or who wish to advance in classes with classes in progress, will need to go through a placement test. This exam will be held online, with a scheduled date of January 17, 2025.

Candidates who achieve the minimum score required will still participate in a electronic draw on February 7th, which will define the available vacancies for each stage and campus.

Detailed schedule:

  • Registrations: until January 15, 2025;
  • Placement Test: January 17th;
  • Electronic Draw: February 7th;
  • Final Classification and Call: February 14th;
  • Beginning of classes: March 10.
