How to Apply for Scholarships and Study in the United Kingdom?
Applications to study abroad are open until November 5 and can be made directly on the program’s website. Classes for selected students will begin between September and October 2025. In addition to applying for scholarships in the United Kingdom, it is also necessary for the student to apply for the course they wish to be admitted to.
The Chevening application is only for the scholarship, not for the course. Having a master’s degree does not prevent one from applying for a second master’s degree with a Chevening scholarship. The scholarships for studying in the UK from the Chevening Scholarships cover the costs of round-trip airfare to the UK, tuition fees for the chosen course, university administrative fees, a monthly cash allowance for personal expenses, visa issuance fees, and financial assistance for settling in the country.
The Chevening program to study abroad seeks students interested in deepening their knowledge in their area of expertise through research and also engaging in cultural exchange with the chosen country of study. It is worth mentioning that there is no age restriction, but it is essential that the candidate has a leadership profile.
Understand How the Selection Process Works for Scholarships in the United Kingdom
The selection process for Chevening is divided into two phases. In the first phase, candidates must apply through the official program website, filling out an online form with their course interests and submitting the required documentation, such as diplomas, academic transcripts, and letters of recommendation.
Acceptance letters from universities can be sent after the application period ends.
In the second phase, pre-selected candidates will be invited for an interview in English conducted at the British embassy, at British consulates, or at other locations distributed across all regions of Brazil. In 2023, around 50 Brazilians were awarded scholarships to study abroad.
