The announcement of the CEDERJ Entrance Exam 2026/1 has been published with 7,355 places in undergraduate courses in distance learning mode, with mandatory in-person activities at regional hubs in the state of Rio de Janeiro.
The selection is valid for admission in the first semester of 2026 and brings opportunities in institutions such as UERJ, UFRJ, UFF, UENF, UFRRJ, UNIRIO, and CEFET/RJ.
The exam is scheduled for December 7, 2025, in an in-person application.

Registrations Extended and Selection Process Timeline
Registrations, which opened in September, have been extended until November 9, 2025, according to a statement from Fundação Cecierj.
The official website also informs that the ENEM classification result will be announced on November 14, at 2 PM.
Candidates opting for UFRJ who are not classified by ENEM may make the tuition payment until November 17, according to the updated timeline.
Entrance Options: ENEM or Entrance Exam
The selection will be made by two modalities: ENEM score or in-person exam.
In the case of ENEM, the participating universities accept different editions of the exam.
According to the announcement, UFRJ, UENF, UNIRIO, UFRRJ, and CEFET/RJ accept scores from 2022, 2023, or 2024, while UFF accepts scores obtained between 2014 and 2024.
The classification considers the descending order of performance by edition, according to the rules of each institution.
Those not selected through ENEM may take the entrance exam, which will be held on December 7, 2025 (Sunday).
The exam will consist of 45 multiple-choice questions and one argumentative essay, lasting three hours and starting at 10 AM.
The content will cover subjects from the National Common Curriculum Base of High School, with different weights according to the course.
Semi-Presential Mode and Mandatory Internships
Although the courses are offered in EAD mode, the regime is semi-presential.
According to the announcement, all evaluations are carried out in person at regional hubs.
In the licentiate courses, there are also mandatory supervised internships at partner schools located in the state of Rio de Janeiro.
Places Distributed by Course
The total of 7,355 places is distributed among 16 undergraduate courses.
The courses with the highest number of places are Licentiate in Pedagogy (1,160 places), Licentiate in Biological Sciences (756), Administration (710), Accounting Sciences (560), Licentiate in Mathematics (545), and Technology in Computer Systems (635).
The other options are Public Administration (280), Library Science (300), Production Engineering (440), Licentiate in Physics (320), Licentiate in Geography (280), Licentiate in History (200), Licentiate in Letters (280), Licentiate in Chemistry (289), Technology in Tourism Management (250), and Technology in Public Safety (350).
Quotas and Affirmative Actions
The rules for quotas and affirmative actions follow the legislation of each participating institution.
In the federal universities of the consortium, the norms of Federal Law No. 12,711/2012 apply, while UERJ and UENF follow state legislation.
The announcement also provides for the reservation of vacancies for public school teachers in the licentiate courses.
Exam Structure and Weights by Course
The entrance exam will consist of questions on Portuguese Language and Brazilian Literature, Foreign Language, Biology, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Geography, and History.
The weights of the subjects vary according to the chosen course.
For example, Administration and Public Administration have greater weight in History and Mathematics; Production Engineering and Computer Systems prioritize Mathematics and Physics.
The licentiate courses emphasize the corresponding areas.
The essay will evaluate the ability to argue, cohesion, and mastery of the standard Portuguese language.
Who Can Participate
Applicants who have completed high school or will complete it by the enrollment date may register.
The announcement also reinforces the legal prohibition that a student occupy two places simultaneously in public higher education institutions.
How to Register
Registrations must be made exclusively online at the official entrance exam website.
The fee is R$ 89.90, with the registration deadline extended until November 9, 2025.
During registration, candidates must choose the course, the hub, and the entrance option (ENEM or exam).
The preliminary result via ENEM will be announced on November 14.
Those not classified may participate in the in-person exam on December 7.
For candidates from UFRJ who opt for ENEM and are not classified, the fee payment may be made until November 17, according to the official timeline.
