Transpetro Receives Resumes for Temporary Positions in the Maritime Sector. Digital and Selective Process, Focusing on Certified and Available Professionals.
Did you know that Transpetro, a subsidiary of Petrobras focused on the transportation and logistics of fuels, maintains an open channel for receiving resumes from maritime professionals interested in temporary roles.
The initiative aims to form operational teams on an emergency basis, respecting the requirements of the Brazilian Maritime Authority and internal safety guidelines.
The process occurs through the section “Temporary Opportunities in the Sea Frame”, available on the company’s website. Registrations do not guarantee selection, but are part of a database used for potential hiring as operational needs arise.

Exceptional and Temporary Hiring
The selection is supported by Article 37 of the Federal Constitution, which allows hiring outside of public competition in exceptional cases, provided justified by the absence of approved candidates in previous contests or urgent need.
Transpetro informs that this model aims to ensure continuity of operations in specific situations, without compromising safety standards and legal compliance.
Hiring is temporary, without permanent employment ties, and has a defined duration according to the company’s demand.

The company has not disclosed the exact number of available positions or roles, as the process aims to create a database for eventual hiring.
Why Does Transpetro Maintain This Model?
According to the company, maintaining a resume bank allows for greater agility in emergency hiring, especially to cover absences, extraordinary shipping, or seasonal demands.
This format also contributes to the continuity of operations in compliance with the rules of the National Agency of Waterway Transport (ANTAQ) and other regulatory bodies in the maritime sector.
Fleet Expansion and Current Structure
Currently, Transpetro operates with:
- 33 owned vessels;
- 48 terminals (including 27 waterway and 21 land terminals);
- About 8,500 km of pipelines.
In 2025, the state-owned company continues the TP 25 program, which plans to acquire up to 25 vessels to expand the fleet.
By June of this year, 16 vessels had already been contracted, including Handy class units. The company has also opened new bids for gas carriers intended for the transportation of LPG and ammonia.
Overview of the Maritime Sector
According to industry data, Brazilian maritime transport continues to grow gradually. Reports from 2024 indicate a 20% increase in national nautical activity, reflected in job growth and demand for technical training.
Brazil has also expanded its participation in cabotage transport, which requires more logistical and operational structure.
Transpetro is a relevant player in this scenario, acting in the national logistics of petroleum and natural gas derivatives, with a strategic role in offshore platforms and large-scale supply.
