Operating License Of The Wind Farm Came With Environmental Commitment
The Operating License (LO) is a fundamental document for the execution of projects that impact the environment. It certifies that the project is in compliance with environmental standards after the implementation of all necessary control measures. In the case of the Ventos de São Zacarias Wind Farm, the license was issued after the rigorous fulfillment of all requirements, ensuring the viability of the project and its safe operation.
The Secretary of Environment of Piauí, Daniel Oliveira, reinforced the role of the state government in encouraging renewable energy projects. According to him, the state is focused on promoting sustainable development, reconciling economic growth and care for the environment. “In addition to generating clean energy, we are creating job opportunities and regional development, with the creation of new job vacancies,” Oliveira highlighted.

Job Opportunities
The forecast is that the wind farm will start its commercial operations by December 2024, after the publication of the dispatches from the National Electric Energy Agency (Aneel).
With the start of activities, it is expected that new job vacancies will be generated in the region, contributing to local economic development and further strengthening Piauí’s position as a leader in the renewable energy sector.
This project reinforces the state’s commitment to generating clean and sustainable energy, in addition to opening doors for job creation and investments, ensuring a more promising future for the local population.
