Eligible Workers Can Still Withdraw Benefits Until December 29, with Amounts Up to a Full Minimum Wage.
The Ministry of Labor and Employment (MTE) informed that 741,856 workers have not yet withdrawn the salary bonus for the fiscal year 2023. The available amount for withdrawal totals R$ 114.3 million, and the final deadline for redemption ends on December 29.
According to the data released, 25,450,222 workers have been identified as eligible to receive the benefit this year. This number also includes revisions related to the previous five years.
So far, 24,708,366 people have already received the bonus, which represents 97.09% coverage and a total of R$ 29.1 billion paid. Therefore, those who have not yet withdrawn need to pay attention to not lose the amount.

Who Is Eligible
The salary bonus is an annual benefit that can reach up to a minimum wage. It is intended for private sector workers linked to the PIS, as well as public servants linked to Pasep.
To be eligible, one must be registered in the PIS/Pasep or in the CNIS for at least five years.
It is also required to have worked for employers who contribute to the program, have received an average monthly income of up to two minimum wages in the fiscal year, have performed paid work for at least 30 days in 2023, and have accurately reported data in the Rais or eSocial.
Additionally, the Ministry started processing information submitted by municipalities within the exceptional deadline, which ended on June 20.
As a result, public servants who experienced delays will receive payment on October 15.
Who Is Excluded
Not all workers are entitled to the benefit.
Excluded individuals include domestic workers, rural workers hired by individuals, urban workers also hired by individuals, and those employed by individuals regarded as legal entities.
These categories do not factor into the calculation of the bonus because mandatory contributions are not provided for in the requirements set by the program.
Amounts Paid
The amount of the benefit varies according to the time worked during the fiscal year.
The calculation is simple: divide the current minimum wage by 12 and multiply it by the number of months worked.
Thus, only those who worked all 12 months of 2023 will receive the full amount of a minimum wage.
With the new minimum wage, the bonus can range from R$ 126.50 to R$ 1,518.00, depending on the number of months of employment during the period.
How to Consult
Workers can check their benefits in several ways. The simplest step-by-step is through the Digital Work Card app.
First, it is important to ensure that the app is updated. Next, access is done using the CPF and the password used on the Gov.br portal.
Once logged into the system, simply click on “Benefits” and then on “Salary Bonus” to check for any available amounts.
Additionally, private sector workers can check their status and payment date on the Caixa Trabalhador and Caixa Tem apps.
Where to Withdraw
The PIS payment, intended for the private sector, is administered by Caixa Econômica Federal. There are four main ways to receive it.
Those who already have a checking or savings account at Caixa receive the bonus automatically. Another option is the Digital Social Savings Account, managed through the Caixa Tem app.
It is also possible to withdraw the amount using a social card and PIN at ATMs, lottery houses, and Caixa Aqui correspondents. If the worker does not have a card, they can withdraw directly at Caixa branches with an identification document.
As for Pasep, aimed at public servants, it is paid by Banco do Brasil. Deposits are preferably made into accounts but can also occur via TED, PIX, or in person at branches, according to the MTE.
