Million-Dollar Auction Highlights 1955 Porsche 356 Speedster Rediscovered in Barn in the USA, Preserved with Authentic Interior and Great Historical Value
A 1955 Porsche 356 Pre-A Speedster caught attention this month when it was auctioned for around R$ 3 million. The car had been sitting for decades in a barn in Ohio, United States. Even in poor condition, its rarity sparked strong interest among collectors.
Unexpected Discovery
The vehicle was stored by the same family for nearly 70 years. European Collectibles, a company in California, received information from a contact about the existence of the car.
From there, the restoration of the piece began. Additionally, many original components can still be preserved, which increases its historical value.

Well-Preserved Interior
Despite the rusted and heavily damaged body, the interior impressed with its good condition. The seats and internal finishes have remarkably withstood the test of time.
Thus, the vehicle maintains rare and authentic characteristics.
Million-Dollar Auction
The auction took place last Saturday (8/23) in England, hosted by Iconic Auctioneers. The Porsche was regularly used until 1962, accumulating around 60,000 kilometers.
After that, it was forgotten until its rediscovery. Now, it is reborn as one of the most valued models of the brand.
