The Henrique Lage Refinery (Revap), from Petrobras, announced a scheduled shutdown between August and November 2025, creating up to 5,000 temporary jobs in São José dos Campos. According to the website of the São José dos Campos City Hall, resumes are already being received by the PAT, which is responsible for forwarding candidates to the contracted companies.

Among the most sought-after positions are boilermaker, welder, and scaffolder, roles that ensure the maintenance and safety of the refinery. Priority will be given to professionals from São José and nearby cities such as Jacareí, Taubaté, Caraguatatuba, and São Sebastião, which should boost the local economy. This movement marks one of the largest temporary hiring periods in the last decade in the region.

How To Apply For These Jobs?

You can apply online by accessing the City Hall form, or you can go in person to the PAT, at Praça Afonso Pena, 175 – Centro. The hours of operation are Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 4 PM. According to the City Hall website, registration is the first step to participate in the selection process.

If you have experience as a boilermaker, welder, or scaffolder, this is your time. Organize your resume, update your certificates, and pay attention to the deadlines. Don’t miss the opportunity to be part of this historic moment, as hiring has already started in the Petrobras area.
