Half of the places in the free courses at the Federal Institute are to be filled by candidates who meet quota criteria. They are candidates from public schools, with quotas for low-income students, persons with disabilities, or self-declared black, brown, or indigenous, or quilombola. To participate in the selection process under the quota system, this option must be selected at the time of registration.

Modalities Of The Free Technical Courses At IFSC

The concurrent modality allows the student to take the free courses at the Federal Institute and high school at another institution simultaneously, provided there is a compatibility of schedule.

Withdrawal, suspension, or termination of the high school course results in loss of the spot in the technical course. Upon completion of one of the free technical courses, the student receives a diploma as a technical professional at the secondary level.

Those seeking additional information regarding the selection process should access the Notice.

The subsequent modality is for candidates who have completed high school or who can prove the completion of high school (or equivalent course) by the date of enrollment. Upon completion of the course, the student receives a diploma as a technical professional at the secondary level.
