Operator Is Responsible for All Stages of the Supply Chain of the German Supplier
Siemens Energy, a global company specializing in energy sector technologies, operates in offering products, solutions, and services for the entire value chain of the electric sector. They provide equipment and components with various sizes, weights, and characteristics such as circuit breakers, capacitors, turbines for electrical power generation, transformers, industrial reactors, among other items. To meet this demand for large volume and complexity, Movecta needed to understand the dimension of each operation and design the most effective and personalized solution.
“It has been 25 years of a completely challenging partnership. We started back then receiving goods at our customs terminal in Guarujá. We received equipment of the most diverse sizes and amperages. Between 2014 and 2015, we took over all transportation of this cargo, being responsible for the logistics from the port to the plants of the company located in Jundiaí and Santa Bárbara D´oeste, recalls Carolina Dias, sales manager at Movecta.
Today Siemens Energy counts many gains by having a logistics solution that is fully integrated into its business. It registers reduced expenses, gains in operational efficiency, and reduced time.

“The logistics operation model we structured for this partner is complex and innovative; it is a complete solution. We take care of all stages, from the arrival of the goods at the port, clearance, nationalization, storage, and transportation. The reverse logistics is also our responsibility, meaning we take care of the client’s integral operation to the port. It has been over two decades of partnership for us to reach this level of excellence,” highlights Piero Grassi Simione, business director at Movecta.
To give you an idea of the complexity of the operation, Movecta accounted for the transportation and storage of 60 thousand tons of products and equipment from Siemens Energy over the past 12 months, totaling about 2 million kilometers traveled.
Another highlight of this partnership happened in 2021. The company sought out Movecta to help it migrate part of the operation from Guarujá, a coastal city in São Paulo, to Santa Catarina, in the southern region of the country. From the company’s request to the project’s completion, there were seven months of intensive discussions and adjustments in the design to the final execution.
“We had a huge challenge to set up an operation in a general warehouse to accommodate equipment such as transformers and entire power plants. From this demand, we proposed a solution to set up a specific structure for storing loads from this segment. Not only did we design the project, but we also provided all the regulatory direction, guiding the client through all stages of the process. The relationship and trust were decisive for us to develop this project. This partnership goes far beyond a relationship. We operate as a sort of business unit,” attests the director.
In this operation, Movecta is responsible for retrieving the goods at the port, carrying out the entire customs process, releasing and internalizing the cargo, storage, separation and distribution of products and transportation to São Paulo, establishing a verticalized operation.
“We have a quite complex operation, with around 30 collaborators involved. We receive a minimum volume of 80 containers per month, in addition to air cargo, to transport to one of our warehouses, where we have a capacity of 13,4 thousand m². In total, there are 10 dedicated vehicles to transfer from the port of Itajaí to the general warehouse and, from there, to the Jundiaí unit,” says Eliel Paulo Breve da Silva, sales manager of Movecta in Itajaí.
The entire logistics operation of Siemens Energy has a centralized and verticalized service. “We customize customer service, concentrating information in a single operator. That way, we can better organize the flow of data from each unit of business of the client, reducing the number of parties involved in the chain, speeding up processes and generating greater value for our partner,” he concludes.
