The Course of Underwater Welder Is Taught by SENAI,  Certifying and Qualifying Professionals Who Wish to Enter This Field.

Underwater welding is used as a last resort when it is essential to make minor repairs on offshore units without the need to interrupt production. Nowadays, there are also underwater cutting techniques using the same method, regardless of the type of activity. These processes are predominantly used in the oil and gas sector, as these units are thousands of kilometers away from the coast.

The profession of Underwater Welder is indeed quite dangerous, which is why safety procedures and preparations are constantly reviewed before the activity.

When in operation, the diver welder has a radio attached to their helmet that allows communication and monitoring with the control room, in addition to assistance from an ROV filming and monitoring their work. In the event of an incident during the job, there is a type of switch that shuts down the circuit immediately in case of emergency.
