The Importance of Language Learning
Diving into the study of languages is a crucial skill in today’s globalized world.
Learning a new language not only opens doors to job opportunities but also enriches individuals’ cultural and social lives.
Proficiency in different languages allows people to connect with various cultures, broadening horizons and providing valuable experiences in travel, studies, and the professional environment.
Furthermore, studies show that language learning can enhance cognitive skills, such as memory and logical reasoning.
Available Spots and Course Structure
To ensure participation, interested individuals must present proof of affiliation with the institution and, if necessary, proof of proficiency for courses that are not beginner level.
However, it is worth noting that the Portuguese for foreigners courses are open to the foreign community and do not require affiliation with universities, further expanding learning opportunities.
Classes are scheduled to occur online and synchronously, allowing students to participate from home or anywhere with internet access.
The duration of the courses varies according to the workload: 16 hours for 1-month courses and 48 hours for 3-month courses.
Meetings will be held weekly, lasting 2 hours, or in a single meeting of 4 hours, which will include a break.
All course schedules will follow the Brasília time zone, facilitating participation for students in various locations.
Enrollment Process and Eligibility
Enrollment for the language courses began on March 24 and will close on April 4 at 12 PM.
It is important to remember that each CPF can enroll in only one foreign language course, while for the Portuguese for foreigners course, more than one enrollment per CPF is allowed.
This flexibility is especially beneficial for those who wish to delve into more than one language and make the most of this qualification opportunity.
Classes will have 25 spots each, along with a waiting list of 20 additional spots.
This means that even if a class is full, there are still chances for participation for those who enroll on the waiting list.
For more information about the courses, schedules, and eligibility criteria, you can consult the announcement available on the official page of the Andifes.
