UFMG Offers Training for Basic Education Teachers 100% Free and Blended!
The Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), through the Open University of Brazil (UAB), has opened registrations for the free specialization in Literacy and Reading. The course is mostly online, lasts for 18 months, and is set to begin in May 2025.
With 150 available slots, the training aims to qualify teachers, coordinators, and managers of basic education, focusing on improving pedagogical practices in elementary education.

Important! There is no need to reside in these locations, but those selected for the training course must be available to attend the in-person meetings.
How to Enroll in the UFMG Qualification Course?
The selection for the qualification course will follow the chronological order of registration, provided that candidates meet the required prerequisites.
The necessary documentation must be submitted in a single PDF file, with a maximum size of 25 MB, as specified in item 4.1 of the announcement.
At the time of registration, the candidate must indicate two options for the center, allowing for possible reassignment if necessary. The final results will be announced on April 9 on the selection process page.
