Bajaj, One of The Largest Motorcycle Manufacturers in India, Is in The Process of Expansion and States That Brazil Is Included in Its Plans
In India, Bajaj is one of the largest motorcycle manufacturers. In the Brazilian market, there has been little contact with such bikes; however, according to the announcement from the Indian manufacturer in October last year, this should change, as the company intends to expand globally and Brazil is included in this expansion. The manufacturer plans to open a motorcycle factory in the country with local logistics and parts inventory, with prices that meet the needs of Brazilian consumers.

Plans of The Indian Manufacturer Include Cost-Effective Motorcycles
Bajaj’s intentions are not limited to just selling motorcycles; the manufacturer plans to build a factory in Manaus (AM) with the potential to export to other markets in the region. Demonstrating that it is serious, the motorcycle manufacturer has already begun to take action. Its first step was confirming a contract with Waldyr Ferreira, head of operations in Brazil.
The plans of the Indian manufacturer should be comprehensive, including, in addition to the factory, local logistics and parts inventory. An important aspect of Bajaj is that it is focused on entry-level models, especially with low-displacement motorcycles. The most sought-after models have engines with approximately 100cc and 400cc, which means Bajaj could bring more affordable bikes to the Brazilian market.

Electric Models from The Indian Motorcycle Manufacturer Spark Interest Among Brazilians
In India, Bajaj does not only offer more accessible bikes, as it also offers the cheapest motorcycle there: the CT100, which in India costs 49,152 rupees, equivalent to R$ 3,500 in direct conversion. It is a simple motorcycle; however, compared to the cheapest motorcycle in Brazil, the difference is enormous.
In Brazil, the cheapest motorcycle is around R$ 6,980. The CT100 from the Indian manufacturer has a single-cylinder engine of 102cc with air cooling, already equipped with electronic fuel injection. It delivers only 7.9 hp of power, and a torque of 0.83 kgfm. The motorcycle has a four-speed transmission. According to the Indian manufacturer, the CT 100 reaches 90 km/h.
