4 New Renewable Energy Plants Will Be Built at the UNDB Headquarters in Brasília, Projects Include Wind and Solar Power Plants
The Gama campus of UNDB in Brasília will gain four renewable energy generation plants. The contract was signed last Friday (22), and the UNDB campus will have a photovoltaic solar plant, which is expected to generate savings of R$ 282.6 thousand per year, thus becoming energy self-sufficient.

The work for the renewable energy plants includes the installation of photovoltaic solar panels for solar energy generation at the Teaching and Education Unit (UED) of the UNDB campus.
The plants are expected to generate around 175,641 kW per year, with an annual savings of about R$ 92 thousand. “In addition to marking the signing of a contract, this ceremony also symbolizes the partnership between FGA, the Rectory, and the Infrastructure Secretariat of UnB,” said the campus director, Sandro Haddad. “This project, although being implemented here, can be extended to various other buildings of the University,” emphasized the rector, Márcia Abrahão.

Renewable Energy Plant Works at UNDB Estimated at Over R$ 700 Thousand
The work for the renewable energy plants at UNDB in Brasília was estimated at over R$ 700 thousand; however, the bidding process, conducted through the Differentiated Contracting Regime, allowed the contracting to be made with a 34.6% discount, for R$ 493 thousand. The funds for the renewable energy plant work at UNDB were provided by the Secretariat of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education, specifically for projects focused on energy efficiency.
