The Virtual Learning Environment (AVA) will be the main means of communication between students and instructors, allowing for continuous interaction and clarification of doubts.
In addition to theoretical content, the course will include case studies, pedagogical practices aimed at inclusion, and discussions on real challenges faced in the school environment.
The intention is to offer a dynamic and applicable learning experience, enabling educators to improve the quality of education for students with special educational needs.

Importance of Training in Special Education
Special Education has gained increasing prominence within the Brazilian educational system.
The current legislation stipulates that students with disabilities, global developmental disorders, and high abilities/giftedness must have access to a quality education, with specialized support and strategies adapted to their needs.
Training teachers is essential to ensure that these students have appropriate learning conditions and can fully develop within the school environment.
Often, the lack of specific training can hinder the inclusion process and limit the potential of students with special needs.
This course offered by UnB emerges as an important solution to meet this demand, preparing professionals to act with more confidence, knowledge, and sensitivity in building a truly inclusive school.
Benefits for Participants
In addition to the knowledge gained, course participants will receive a completion certificate issued by UnB, an important differentiator for the resumes of educators and undergraduate students. The certificate can be used to:
- Enhance professional training and open new opportunities in the job market;
- Serve as proof of extracurricular activities in graduate programs and academic selections;
- Count towards complementary hours required in undergraduate and graduate courses;
- Update knowledge on the guidelines of special education and public policies aimed at school inclusion.
Moreover, the flexibility of the online course allows participants to study at their own pace, balancing studies with professional and personal routines.

Enrollment must be made exclusively through the SIGAA portal, at the following address: https://sig.unb.br/sigaa/public/extensao/loginCursosEventosExtensao.jsf. To increase the chances of selection, it is recommended that interested parties enroll as soon as possible.
