The question about who can receive the Bolsa Família lingers in many people’s minds. Today, according to the federal government, the main rule is: the family must have a monthly income that does not exceed R$ 218 per person.
Furthermore, to meet the requirements and thus be able to receive the benefit, the family of the interested party must be registered in the Unified Registry for Social Programs of the Federal Government (CadÚnico).
What Is the Amount of the Benefit
Since last year, the Bolsa Família transfers a minimum of R$ 600 per family. Additionally, there is also an extra R$ 150 for each child up to six years old. Moreover, there is an additional R$ 50 for each member between seven and 18 years old who is incomplete and for women who are pregnant and, of course, registered in the family.
Finally, to further enhance the benefit, at the end of last year, the federal government created the Variable Family Nutritional Benefit. With a value of R$ 50, it is aimed at families with babies up to six months old.
How Do I Withdraw the Bolsa Família
Today, the deposits of the Bolsa Família are made through the Caixa Tem app, meaning it is not necessary to go to a branch to make the withdrawal. However, it is also possible to use the benefit card, which allows the beneficiary to use it for purchases or withdrawals at ATMs, lottery houses, and Caixa agencies.
