Etesco announced last Friday, August 16, the start of a selection process for an Offshore Position to hire a qualified professional to work as a Marine Engineer on one of its vessels.

The ETESCO has been drilling oil wells since the 1980s, accumulating vast technical and administrative experience in this area.
Currently, the company operates and manages the operations of the drill ship “Etesco Takatsugu J,” a dynamic positioning (DP) unit capable of operating in water depths of 3,000m.

Position: Marine Engineer (Offshore Position)
Prerequisites: High school diploma; CIR/Certificate 1034; TBS – 1 (Basic Safety Training (ECIN/ESPE/EBPS/ESRS); Survival and Rescue Craft; Fast Rescue Boats; Basic Special Ship Protection Awareness; and Passport.
Experience: Familiarity with conducting daily rounds, receiving fuel, maintenance and cleaning in machinery spaces, performing soundings in fuel and water tanks, as well as other functions inherent to the position.
Main Responsibilities: Inform the Duty Engineer of any variation in the readings of pressure and temperature measuring instruments, as well as the indications from alarm devices that may affect the proper functioning of the machinery and equipment under your responsibility. Check operational conditions at least once during your work shift for systems outside the machinery spaces: air conditioning, refrigeration; emergency generator, thruster sharing, etc.
