‘Ready for the World’ Program Is Expanded and Offers One Thousand Exchange Slots with English Course in Countries Such as the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia
Golden opportunity for young people from the public education system! The government of São Paulo has just announced the expansion of the ‘Ready for the World’ program, which offers exchange slots fully funded by the state. The big news? Now, students from municipal networks will also be able to embark on this journey abroad.
Exchange with All Expenses Paid and Allowance Abroad
The exchange slots are intended for students who are completing the 9th year of elementary school. The selection will be made through Saresp (State of São Paulo School Performance Evaluation System). Those approved will be entitled to:
-
Grupo Equatorial extends the application deadline for the Electricians School Program 2026 with 300 free spots in five states and training focused on the electric sector.
-
Free courses open 2,221 spots with classes in itinerant trailers from June 8 to 18 and training in gastronomy, technology, beauty, mechanics, pets, and elderly care in SP.
-
ENEM 2026 deadline worries students: even with exemption approved, registration must be confirmed by June 5 to ensure participation
-
Federal Institute opens applications for 100% free undergraduate and postgraduate courses with more than 150 spots in Administration, Public Management, and specializations; selection includes external transfer, graduates, and courses recognized by the MEC with applications open until June.
- Airfare and transfers
- Accommodation and intensive English course
- Expenses for passport and visa
- Family transportation to the boarding point
- Allowances for personal use during the stay
All of this is 100% funded by the state government.
International Experience Is Already Bearing Fruit
The first students awarded the exchange slots returned to Brazil this week, after spending three months immersed in English courses in the United Kingdom and New Zealand. The program also includes options in Canada and Australia, offering a range of cutting-edge cultural and educational experiences.
Governor Tarcísio Increases Investment in Education
The announcement of the expansion of the exchange slots was made by Governor Tarcísio de Freitas, who took the opportunity to unveil a package of investments in municipal education. According to him, R$ 50.2 million will be allocated to 42 municipalities, as part of a total of R$ 294.8 million for construction works, acquisition of school buses, and equipment for schools.
The Selection Will Be Made via Saresp: Stay Tuned
To compete for the exchange slots, students need to pay attention to their performance on Saresp, which will now be used as a selection criterion. The goal, according to the government, is to value merit and encourage students to dedicate themselves to their studies with a focus on the future.
Exchange as a Public Policy
The proposal of the program ‘Ready for the World’ is clear: turn the exchange into a public policy of inclusion and youth empowerment. By covering all expenses, the state breaks down socioeconomic barriers and offers public school students a concrete chance for international experience and mastery of English.
