Vestas Plans New Offshore Wind Blade Factory in Poland, Creating Direct Jobs and Strengthening Supply Chain.
The Danish manufacturer of offshore wind turbines Vestas is expanding its operations, this time announcing a new offshore wind blade factory in Poland. The factory, located in Szczecin, will produce blades for Vestas’ flagship offshore wind turbine, the V236-15.0 MW, and is expected to begin operations in 2026, bringing over 1,000 direct jobs.
Vestas has been heavily investing in the expansion of its production operations, anticipating a significant increase in production capacity. With plans to establish an offshore nacelle assembly factory in the same Polish city, the Danish manufacturer will continue to drive job creation, with more than 1,700 direct jobs by 2026.
